Congrats! My first guess was "Oh No, he had to get a job at Guitar Center :?
but I don't know if you got them over there, so... anyway, remember, cash you're checks, buy food, pay bills, then you can see how far you can stretch the employee discount
have fun!

What he said!

Frankly, the first thought that came to mind was a Guitar Center gig. Believe me, I'm elated to be wrong.

BEWARE: Don't fall into the trap of blowing every paycheck even before you get it on guitar after guitar after guitar!!!

Thank you so much for all the well wishes guys! Very much appreciated, especially from you guys. I was singing the praises of the forum in work today. Told the guys they should get on here cos it's simply amazing!

Today was even better, a lot more hands on so to speak. Got a brand new made to order batch of Lowden's which are £4,000 worth of beauty visually and most of all aurally. Beyond beautiful actually! Next week we're hitting the Lowden factory for a promo film so I'm very excited for that!!

Every Tuesday they move all the stock nearer the floor to the next room and fill it with chairs for a live performance. Girl called Leah was playing and she had a great voice. Guys in addendance included Bap Kennedy from Energy Orchard who works closely with Knopfler and Steve Earl (both guest on his albums and vice versa) and is the brother of Brian Kennedy who sings with Van Morrison who as some of you know lives near my Mother so it's great in that respect that it's the ONLY vintage place in a 50 mile radius meaning the clientel are pretty revered in one way or the other. It keeps the day interesting for sure which is something I am very much enjoying.

Saying that I think I've fallen in love with the aforementioned ES-135. I NEED it. God it sucks being poor!!!!

Thanks again guys. Hope you all had a great day too!

CC

That's just way too cool dude 8)

And you're exactly right! I would love to be able to afford some of the guitars and amps that come through the shop. Its prolonged GAS attacks...

Again, be careful! Once you've worked there for a while, you'll be given credit privileges, layaway privileges, employee discounts, etc. Then the next thing you know, you'll be given everything but a paycheck because you are continually accumulating "pre-bought" guitars.

My dad always told me 'pick a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life." It must be nice to get up in the morning and not feeling like your being forced to go to your job but instead looking forward to it. Congrats on the job my friend!
