has anyone seen the King's Speech? Good? Bad? Should it have won? What are your reviews?

I haven't seen it yet, but a few friends have and said it was really good. It depends on what you like though. Its not an action movie, or a movie that screws with your mind a la Inception. A lot of people I have spoke to didn't like it, but when asked why it came out that it just wasn't their type of movie.

Some people just want to see explosions :D

You should definitely see it I say, even just to at least satisfy curiosity.

Haven't seen it. If you have not seen True Grit, you really should though. Wonderful movie.

Went to see that last week and we missed the start so went to see Paul instead. Not quite the experience I was looking for.

Paul is brilliant, I felt good and nerdy for getting some of the jokes.

Same here, I am a geek though! It was weird seeing the new Scotty from Star Trek wearing a Star Wars t-shirt. Good craic! Can't say much for Carrick's cinema though. Shite.

I watched the Real Kings Speech on channel four, it was quite good. They interviewed some of his other patients, and it really was well done.

Thanks for asking Rob. Have not seen any of the nominee's and now that the winners are enjoying the morning after glow I will say " I will watch them when they come out on cable/satellite".

Never seen it, any clips I've seen, the main guy seems to be playing the same guy he played in Bridget Jones big pants or the Christmas film where he fell in love with a portuguese lass also starred Hugh whatsisname that only Bill Nigh made worthwhile watching

I haven't seen the original - yet. It's still sitting on the DVR, waiting to be watched.

Don't go into the current version expecting a John Wayne film, or an old style western. The current version has amazingly intelligent dialog, wonderful incidential characters, etc.

I'd also go so far as to say that this movie should be required viewing for girls around the age of the main character -- the intelligence, follow-through, and self-respect demonstrated are traits that deserve to be highlighted (and are absent from most pop culture depictions of teenagers).
