This year is crazy one dates year.
1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, and 11/11/11.
Now figure this, the last 2 digits of the year you were born + the age you will be this year will equal 111. It seems to work. Who says you can't learn anything on FaceBook?

:wink:

In view of this being the magical 1's year I submit the follow algebraic proof from Mr. Nevin's math 12 class.
(Mr. Nevin was my math teacher in high school)

let a=1
let b=1
therfore
a=b
multiply both sides by a
a²=ab
subtract b² from both sides
a²-b²=ab-b²
factor both sides
(a-b)(a+b)=b(a-b)
divide both sides by (a-b)
(a+b)=b
remembering that both a & b equal 1
1+1=1

Ahhhh, but if you were born in 2001, you would be 10 this year and the result would be 10+01=11.

It's not really magic because there is a violation of math laws going on there. You're not allowed to divide anything by zero
and a-b=0.
There's always a hidden deception, right?
There it is.
