Star Wars is my all time favorite (original trilogy). I remember when I first watched it all I could do was run around telling people how much I liked it. I was always disappointed when I'd tell someone about it and it turned out that they had already seen it twenty years ago. But it was new to me. Come to think of it, I got similar reactions from people when I first started listening to SRV. "Yeah, I bought that album twenty years ago." Again, it was new to me.

I'd be a total nerd if not for guitar. I love books so naturally I also liked the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Narnia movies.

As for music related movies I found The Blues Brothers, Spinal Tap and School of Rock to be entertaining.

I got this guitar and I learned how to make it talk...

Fandango--Kevin Costner (back when he was good), Judd Nelson + three other friends taking one last fling after they graduate from University of Texas, before they are sent to Vietnam...hilarious.

The Incredibles--just the Bond-esque soundtrack alone is worth the time. It was recorded in the "old style" with a full orchestra in a single large room...it was well-made, a good plot and funny to boot.

I always enjoy Godfather I & II, Goodfellas, and Scarface.

One film I'd recommend to anyone is Pans Labyrinth. A bit of sci-fi, but terrific dialogue and everything is very well done. Well worth the watch in my opinion.

I'm looking forward to the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac's "On the Road." Yerwoman from twilight is it in, which should be interesting.

I would call Pans Labyrinth a tragic fantasy more than anything. Amazing movie mate but I don't recall any fictional science goin on.

This is a difficult one Claude.

I go along with Shawshank Redemption and Apocalypse Now.
But for me it has to be It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, okay , it might not be regarded by many as a classic but it is fantastic fun. Great stuff.

Another one that pops into my head whenever movies are mentioned is Cat Ballou never seen it in years though, need to remedy that sometime, another one would be The Great Escape
