You should have put another choice in your poll. "spend $150.00 and buy a guitar with a single coil in it already" If it said that I would have voted. I think that it would be more trouble than it is worth to put a single coil in that guitar, Sorry. But if you want to chance it up, I would suggest getting a Seymour Duncan split P-90/Humbucker type they have on their website. I dont think you are handy with a Router at your age, ( I could be wrong) and no self respecting guitar shop would even offer to do that because it would cost more than that guitar is worth. Don't get me wrong, That is a great guitar to have at 12 years old ( a lot better than what I had) Just keep practicing and don't worry about swapping out pickups on that Epi. jr. Keep Jamming. Practice some scales. 8)

I already have a MIM tele. I dont want to swap pickups,I want to add another one. The one humbucker that is in the guitar as we speak is fine. but its to close to the bridge,it sounds way to thin.I want to add the singlecoil as a neck pickup that way I get a little more bass response. The only reason I havent goten rid of this guitar is because(A)I got it for free,(B)I need the humbucker for the leads on my recordings that I make.I have done 3 with my tele but they did not sound as good as they could have and it was very hard to get any over drive. Also I dont have much money.I'll only pay $40 If any thing under is total junk! I'm also preaty-good at using most tools. I'm
better at soddering than my dad he said so himself. Do you think I could make the cavity with a Dremal(sorry about the spelling  )

Rant over thank you and have a nice day :D
P.S I cant b elive some people DON'T like to practice.I love turning my amp up all the way and rockin out,I mean practiceing. HINT HINT :D

It would be extremely difficult to do an acceptable job with a Dremel rotary tool, even with the proper routing adapters. There are far too many things that could go wrong with a job like this to make it worth your while.Unless you are very, very accomplished with a router I wouldn't give it a thought.
BTW MF has Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro guitar on sale now for just $499 where they were $750 2 months ago.The Trad Pro has coil tap so it can be used as single coil, humbucker or both plus it's an incredibly great guitar as the humbuckers sound like PAFs and the single coils sound like Jaguars.
To save myself money and aggravation I'd go that route.
