Has anyone used a Jam Hub? I'm thinking about getting one for my drummer son and his band that practices at house all the time. Do they have effects built in for guitar? Whats the general consesus on them?

My buddy has one and we have used it to jam. It is really a great unit. We have plugged in 2 guitars, a keyboard and a drum machine into it and it works great and does not drive the wife and neighbors crazy.

The one we have has 4 headphone attachments. I think they make one with 6 as well. I don't think it has effects, but if you have a pod or an amp with effects, you can plug it right into the jam hub. The coolest feature, I think, is that each person can control their own individual mix (there are separate volume knobs for each instrument) so each guy can set the mix to their own taste.

I would definitely reccomend it. We took it to my friend's lake house and were able to jam outside on his deck well past 2:00 a.m. without disturbing the neighbors - that night we had keys, electronic drum set, and guitar.
