My first guitar was a Student sized Global Acoustic from Sears, this 88 Strat was my first Electric Guitar and this Fender Deluxe 85 was my first real Amp (I was going through a portable stereo before that).

My first set up was a 1979 peavy t60 and a 1980'S peavry rage(dont remember the year exactly.my uncle thinks he bought it in like 83). my first acoustic was a harmony stella that belonged to my mother. when i got in middle school I got my self a squier affinity and a rocktron velocity 15 . Gave the rage and t60 back to my uncle who later sold it.

Shoulda kept the T-60!

Knowing what I know now yes i should have kept it, but i knew nothing of the value of one of those things back then i still kick myself for givin it up!

Happens to all of us. I shoulda never sold my Ric 430 I had back in the '80's.

a Silvertone acoustic in '56 and then a Supro Duo-tone solid body electric with a 20 watt no-name amp with one 10. you can't see the amp in this pic from '63
Image
this pic from '65 is of The Knights

Solid Body:

This picture of The Knights (my first band was The Knight Beats) reminds me of when me and the boys were in our first band - everyone is looking at their fretting hand! :) Nice pics!

 A Knight has such a macho/romantic connotation, after reading your post I thought that there must have been many many bands of young Bros that chose a band name with "Knights" in it. So cool that you noticed where we were looking

First guitar was a Stella Acoustic with REALLY high action...but first electric was an employee made Gibson Les Paul Custom...my uncle used to work there and gave it to me...good fortune to grow up just outside of Kalamazoo...first amp was a magnatone, don't remember the model number but it was tube with a 12 inch speaker and it sounded pretty good, was about the size of a princeton, but I hated that it took so long to get the tubes warmed up...what an impatient idiot I was at 10 years old :!:
