50's, 60's, 70's, i just dont find him as good as other people find him.
people often mistake fame for talent.

Any way you look at it he was a blues world wide legend!!! and he rocked and ripped up and partied the world life times before most of us were in nappys!!! Black man true roots stye!!!!! And still livin big time rock star in his eighty's doin in excess of 200 shows a year!!!!!!

His hardcore bluesman style and lifestyle would have put 99.99% of new age emo kids in through rehab and sooking for their mummy and out in a box six feet under 50 years ago!!!! Rock on BB still at near 90!!!! I have it on the best advice that he hasn't slowed down near stuff all he's a blues machine!!!

That that man..... has not the fingers of Satriani, Bonamassa or SRV is totally irrelevant!!! He is one of the guitar gods of history hands down!!! Your a Fkn hero BB!!! Rock on!!!! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Nice! Glad it's working out for you. Would putting a compressor in front of it help out until you mod it? My Jet City sounds real sweet if I set it right to the edge of breakup and then put some mild compression on the front end.

i havent tried to be honest. i have an old Boss Compress pedal that i never did play with much. i need to see what it will do for my tele. ive been thinking about getting a newer compress pedal. dont honestly know which old/new would be better. hell, come to think of it, i dont remember which one i do have. crap, now i gotta go digging through the old pedal boards to see what it is. im curious myself now too.

I don't know but I'll tell you my favorite was SRV, and four other I enjoy listening to are: Knopfler, Gilmour, Clapton and Mick Taylor (don't know if anyone mentioned him, I didn't read all 6 pages, but he deserves it).

Phil Palmer? 8) Nice Inclusion, very underrated guitarist from an unappreciated side of the music business.

It's hard to have a favorite after so many years of playing and listening, but I always go back to SRV. He caught my ear when I was 13 and I'm still finding elements of his playing I hadn't noticed before.
