Although my birthday isn't until the Ides of March I received my birthday present from my wife in the mail yesterday. It's a set of 7 blues harps in a case, one in each key, they are Lo Duca brand, not as good as Hohner but for the money they're good little harps.I dug out my old harp holder and now I'm going to try to get back into playing harp like I did in my old 60s coffee house days and try to build up my wind for wailing out some blues. It even came with an instructional DVD.The set only costs $39.95 and they are very well made harps for that price we ordered them from The Sportsman's Guide http://www.sportsmansguide.com or 1-800-888-3006 the catalogue # is B1P-166080 .

Very nice bro....I have been playing harp way longer than guitar.I find them to be quite easy to carry around :D .My friends dig on it when I pull it outta my pocket and jam for em.
The Lo Duca brand is ok for the price...they are definitely more for beginners.I play Hoeners cause thats what I grew up on.Many times have been at friends jam sessions and they inevitably ask ..."Dude...you got your harps with ya" and away we go jammin.I love em.I usually always keep a couple different keys in the car.Happy early Birthday......I'm actually up for some new harps myself. My birthday is coming in March too...you never know
Keep on Harpin bro

Happy Early Birthday!

I have a couple of Lee Oskar harps that don't get used much.

I've never heard of that brand (I mostly play Hohners and Lee Oskars. I prefer Hohner; I've recently came out of a long obsession with the Lee Oskar harps [longer lasting combs and reeds], but they just don't have the growl of the Marine Bands and Blues Harps).

Do they have wood or plastic combs?

Thanks for the early B'day wishes guys, the combs appear to be plastic and the reeds look to be brass.
