Part way through.. and Im really enjoying it! I thought the first chapter about being busted in Arkansas, was hilarious. I know the town, and to tell the truth, not much has changed there :D

I finished reading it last week, and I would recommend it to anyone. Very informative read directly from the man himself. Not sure if the Stones are going to survive the book though.

I'm part way through it also. I'm at the part where during the "Exile" period there's a funny story about Bobby Keys riding around the countryside on a motorcycle with a French model that gave him a "yard of hard". I knew I'd remember that phrase!

I just finished it, very entertaining.

I find it hilarious that, in part, he credits his survival to knowing "just how much to take, and not going over that edge, where you can't get any higher." Dr Keith

And I wouldn't think that the group would suffer by what was said, those guys have always been pretty vocal about what they like and dislike in each other. I love the part too where Charlie put a suit on to go punch Mick in the face for calling him "his" drummer.

Written like he talks too, kind of a perpetual "hangover-still stoned-slur." I'd recommend it.

I just finished it this afternoon!
Great book! Highly recommend it to all RnR junkies! 8)

I guess Mick is holding up a potential Stones Tour because of what Keef wrote.
Probably the "Brenda" passage...

I really didn't want the book to end it was that entertaining.
Good one Keef!!

I'm just in the early chapters where he first meets Mick. The Arkansas bust part was a hoot though.I'm looking forward to see just how much mention and acknowledgement Brian Jones gets-please don't anyone tell me and spoil the story.

I am on chapter five and I find it hard to put down, I also like how he is shedding insight on his approach to guitar playing and getting into guitar talk where he goes for those who want to fast forward lol. Always one of my heroes and if you look up less is more in a rock dictionary their would be Keifs pic, the guy is a machine when it comes to writing riffs that kick you in the face. Also like how he kind of settles the rumor mill on songwriting as it is pretty well known Marriane Faithful had a lot to do with Sister Morphine and also leaning on Mick Taylors contributions as that was one of his reasons for leaving. This is a must read even if you are not even a big Keith or Stones fan but just a fan of the whole music scene of the 60s, and 70,s.

Reading it right now in my "spare time" (with the amount of spare time I have, the book should last me for months) and thoroughly enjoying it. The man is a character, and he's led a life that most people can only imagine. It's fun to get a glimpse.

It kind of bothers me Keith Richards is so bold to use the title "Life". First impressions aside, I bet it really is an interesting read. The Stones are inarguably one of the greatest groups of their era.

Knowing Keith's appetite for the excess maybe a more appropriate title would've been "Cheating Death".

Haven't read that one yet, but the conversation reminded me of one I read several years ago "Up and Down with the Rolling Stones" that is also a good read.
