Just finished listening to Gregg Allman's "Low Country Blues" and it's pretty good. Features some real nice playing by one of the best.

Anyone else give this one a go yet?

I have,and being a long time,huge fan of Gregg,I was a little disapointed,his singing is good but I know they tried to get a sound like an old time recording,which is what it sounds like to me.
I like his jazzier stuff like "Queen of Hearts",and always want more of that style.
But really,I'm just glad that he's still with us and seems to be getting healthier,I saw an interview on TV a few weeks ago and he looked to be in good spirits and said that he had no plans to stop and that "they will have to drag his azz out there on a stretcher".

I listened to it on NPR a few weeks ago, and at first listen, I didn't find much interesting there.
I will definitely listen to it again. I always miss things on a first listen.
I have great respect for Greg and the tradition he represents.

I have the same reaction to Neil Young's "Le Noise". I am a long-time admirer of Neil, and have appreciated all of his explorations, but the I don't find this last record lives up to all the hype.
I have listened to it several times, and still find it uninteresting.
