I just got a new American Deluxe Strat, I've had it for 5 days. And while I was on my gig last night the nut for one of my Schaller strap locks fell off and went into the stage.

Any chance one of you guys at Fender could send me out a spare?

Please and thanks for all your help!

+1, I keep a couple of spares in my gig bag just in case.

Anyone ever try some loctite in the threads of the nut????

The blue is medium strength...

You should be able to find it at any auto parts store.

I Loctite all my Straplocks. When I got my first set I saw the potential of the nut coming loose. I use removable Loctite as the perm stuff makes it very hard to change straps

Blue Loctite is medium strength and will allow you to remove the nut with a hand wrench.

Quote:
Loctite® Threadlocker Blue 242® is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces. It protects threads from rust and corrosion and prevents loosening from shock and vibration. Loctite® Threadlocker Blue 242® is particularly suited for applications on less active substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces, where disassembly is required for servicing.
