I used to use Ernie Ball mediums until I finally lost them all. Now I'm using dunlop gators (yellow)...not sure the exact thickness, but it's about a medium.

Fender '358' Tortoise Med!

Picks usually pop out of my fingers too easily, but these little tear drop-shaped babies tuck right up in 'ere with just enough of a tip is exposed to let me hit the strings just right! (Great for mandolin, too!)

I used to swear by really thick pics - BUT acually sitting down one day and testing a bunch I found the "springy" ones gave a much better sound, at least on the acoustic it was a noticable difference. The really thick ones sounded dull whereas the thinner (not the really skinny ones) gave a brighter, more lively tone. Also I have had a problem of holding on to the pick properly. Now I use Picboy (075) that have lots of holes in it (like in a drain) (I kno it sounds weird, but it works)

The V-Picks www.v-picks.com I talked about actually stick to your fingers when they get warm.

Jim Dunlop Tortex SHARP 0.88mm....

The sharp point is awesome, and the size of a normal pick is great. The only pick I will use these days.

Chet , I should learn to listen to you!! I just got my V-Picks in the mail a few seconds ago. I did a test using all the different picks that I have around the house and the V-Pick put them all to shame, so much more tone and richness it's remarkable. I ordered the Large Rounded and the Medium Rounded and both are great. I like the same one as the maker , the Large Rounded, they are amazing. Thanks Bud!!! 8) :D

It took me long enough to come around huh? I did not think a pick could make that much difference in tone. I knew that thin or thick would make some difference but nothing like these. Thanks!! :D

I was quite surprised when Vinni put one of those in my hand too. I have been trying to put the word out ever since.
