It depends on what I'm driving: I tend to keep relatively close to the limit in my pickup. Back when I had my Mustang GT, it was a different story. Even worse was when I had decided that a 1984 Porsche 911 with 140k miles was a perfect daily driver.

I had the pleasure of living in Germany for awhile... I had rental cars up over 150mph, and when using a company car, I would drive at top speed for stretches of an hour or more.

I "broke in" a couple of rentals when I was there too. Love that Autobahn. :D

Someone told me that speed cameras are only 90% accurate. So, being that the national speed limit here is 70mph, you could get away with doing 77 and argue that the speed camera misread.

I wouldn't count on it.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

No me neither, even if its right, and you're driving about at 77, the camera could just as easily say 84.7mph as it could 69.3, but I reckon it'd be worth a try as a defence if you were caught going marginally above the limit.

The Monkey man is in a Subaru!
I used to do 7-10 miles over on the highways and 5-7 on the streets. Since I started doing HPDEs on the track, I've slowed down and usually set my cruise to 5 over, which is actually legal here in Florida as per a statute the passed a few years ago. I don't feel the need to speed on the roads; I can do that on the track legally.
In school zones, I will do the posted limit, which is 15mph.

i ride my motorcycle as much as possible. i ride to survive and only speed to avoid "hairy" situations. i ride and drive very defensively. you have to around here.
to answer the question, i do the speed limit 95% of the time. i can't afford tickets.

I do the speed limit plus 5-8 K over. Thank goodness for cruise control. I also try to let anyone behind me by, unless there is a car right in front of me. In that case, it's just called "traffic".

I do the speed limit most time: 70mph on the interstate is plenty fast to get me where I'm going. 45mph past bus stops and pedestrian traffic is plenty fast to put on the breaks when one of those fools decides they have the right of way, or to out manuver old senile geezers who shouldn't be driving.
