747, that was very nice, really liked that to for a first time listen, you hit it right on the nail, clean and very together, really liked the slide to. Texas blues kinda give me a taste of the srv thing but totally an individual style and something fresh. Never heard it befor
either and I'am thankful you put me on to Sonny, I'am going to get hold of both albums,
live as hell, and crossroads motel plus any other offerings cuase thats good music! blues influence all over him and the band, great listening to that. Thanks for the showin me the road to something new I can be old with, a still find happyness. Thanks man, that was great!.

I think "These Arms Of Mine" the same song that Otis Redding did early in his career...I've heard Tab do that one live, but I can't remember hearing his studio version.

If you get a chance, definitely go see him live. As good/great as his records are, his live shows are a thing of butt-shakin' beauty.
I especially like it when he plays the "washboard" on his Telecaster.

http://www.lightnincharlie.com/index.html I was in a club one night and this guy was playing. That night he was doing old rock and roll and just anything anyone ask him to play. He is one of the best players I have ever listen to. I am not crazy about some of the songs on his site but he has won many awards and can play with the best of them. He is best know around here as a blues player.

Check out a young guy by the name of Garrett Mason from Truro, Nova Scotia here in Canada. His dad, Dutchy Mason was known as the "Prime Minister of the Blues" around here and the apple really didn't fall far from the tree. This kid is a monster on guitar with a very interesting playing style. Check out the old Harmony that his dad gave him when he was 15.

What a wonderful resource the Fender Forum is. I don't think I would have run across Garrett on my own. Thanks for posting!
