Well today is not new pedal day, this past Friday was... I got one of the new Fulltone '69 Slight Return and I must say it's a great pedal. I'm not very experienced with fuzz pedals, I've only used a Dunlop Hendrix Fuzz and a Keeley Fuzz Head.

The '69 SR is very versitile, by tweeking the 4 knobs you can go from boost, overdrive to all out fuzz. Similar to the original '69's the 4 knobs are Volume, Bias, Conture, & Fuzz.

No need to get into the Volume control, ya'll know what that does. I'd liken the Bias control to an amps bias control, turn it up and it overdrives the transistors, turn it down and it smoothes them out. The Contour control increases/decreases mids and volume. Fuzz of course controls the level of fuzz.

The fuzz itself is very clear and articulate and by adjusting the Bias you can remove the "woofyness" prone to Fuzzfaces.

Like all Fulltone pedals it's built like a tank.

Has anyone else tried one of the Slight Returns or one of the original '69's?
