the other i was thinking about completely redecorating my tele. I was gonna put a wide range humbucker in the neck, a 3 ply black pickguard (as seen on the '72 custom tele), and a bigsby vibrato arm, and put on the vintage 3 saddle bridge with a cover on it. Problem, i can't find the 3 ply pickguard for lefty and the ones i do find are made for two humbuckers not one. Problem 2, it seems that there are no lefty bigsby vibrato arms for a tele. I'll keep looking but so far not so good. If anybody has any info on where i can find these left handed parts please post a link

must suck my bass player is a lefty as well he's got the worst of problems mostly cause it's hard to find a good lefty bass for an affordable price especially if he wants something that isn't black or sunburst...

Hi Stryder: can't disagree with you - a PITA it is.

However, several left-handed Bigsbys are to be found here:

http://www.wdmusic.com/bridges_bigsby_usa.html

Not cheap, and I notice that the import versions here don't include left-handed ones:

http://www.wdmusic.com/bridges_bigsby_imports.html

Which is tiresome for you. And yet, I think the cheaper priced import versions do come in left-handed models: if I come across them somewhere I'll post again.

Cheers - C

Hmmm. I'm finding plenty of sources for left-handed USA Bigsbys (see post above), but having difficulty turning up the cheaper import versions. However, this gentleman has a page selling imported Bibsbys: no left-handers shown but at the bottom of the page he says; "The Wilburn Custom Shop is an authorized dealer for all Bigsby® products. If you don't see the model you're after, just e-mail us. We can always get you 30% off of the MSRP, and can usually have your order in the shop within a week."

Here:

http://www.wilburncustomshop.com/Parts/Bigsbys.html

Drop him a line and see what he says, why not?

Or just settle for the expensive but kosher US version.

Cheers - C

Ah yes, you're right: that one is difficult to find left-handed (I've just discovered!). So you could try the Warmoth route as Ripitup suggested above, or you could have WDMusic make one up for you. They have an endless supply of right-handed ones:

http://www.wdmusic.com/pickguard_te_2700.html

So choose the one you like and then email them for a custom cut left-handed version. If you read what they have to say about custom pickguards on this page you will see it is perfectly within their remit:

http://www.wdmusic.com/pickguards.html

They actually specify in the small print on that page that all of their pickguards are available left-handed.

Sorted! 8)

Cheers - C
