a guy that i bought a tremolo ans cabinet a while back called me this evening.
he offered me a amp that i know nothing about. so i figured i would bring it before the board and see what you guys think. ive seen this amp and its in great shape.
its a 1968 drip-edge Champ. i dont know what drip-edge means lol.
the amp is like i said in amazing condition. does anybody on here know anything about this amp at all? how do they sound? do they crunch up nice?
the offer is $200. is this a reasonable asking price?

Don't know too much specific about the champs Rick, but I do know that 200 is a good deal for one in working condition. And I also know they sound amazing when you really push 'em.

yeah i couldnt believe it when he told me the yr.
he has all kinds of cool stuff priced like this. i pop over and pluck something
here and there. i wish i could just go over there and wipe him out of everything on one single trip. his pieces and parts collection is amazing.

wow its that serious huh? ok im gonna call him tomorrow and seal the deal. i'll pick it up in two weeks. he promises that it plays as good as it looks.
he did say that there was a lil weird relationship between the volume and the treble, that he would show it to me as i might not even realize it even after playing it for weeks.

I'm good. Tonight I've got my CS '72 Thinline and my CS '60's Tele's out and I'm destroying some Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash through my little Champ 600 reissue.

Remember the big Jamacian dude on the 7-Up commercials from years ago? He took a big swig of 7-Up and grinned: "Life is good! Hahahahahaha"

That's me tonight! Life is good!
