Nice! I've been intrigued by aluminum neck guitars since the last post I saw about them on here.

Years ago I played bass in a school band, and the school owned what I thought was a Travis Bean but was actually a Kramer with Aluminium neck.. resin fingerboard, P/J config with active eq...

Very nice bass it was, the only gripe I had with it was that you had to really work the neck for a while before it felt warm. You would have been stuck to it during the winter. It had wood inserts on the neck to address this, however it did not rectify the issue completely. The sound was brilliant, very nice sounding bass with a metallic tone to it- very bright sounding.

I'm not into playing bass as I used to, but I would certainly drop money on one if I saw one again..

It was for comic effect, no need to be rude.

Moving on, Surely a metal neck would be dangerous if you had grounding issues, even if aluminium isn't the best conductor out there.
But if its good enough for Jerry...

Keep being a dick on internet forums.

If you aren't going to contribute to the topic (like that dude), don't waste time posting. Discuss the instrument(s) in question, or just don't post.

Now, back on topic, these guitars in particular are legendary for their sustain and clarity. They are also EXTREMELY popular (Travis Beans) among the noise rock bunch for the shrill, clear tone and the feedback it can get. It's a neck through design, with the pickups sitting directly on the aluminum.... the rather large piece of aluminum used also makes the guitars quite heavy, apparently.
