Looking for insight on which chorus pedal I should get that won't break the bank. Looking around for a used one, so durability is key. Any recommendations?
I value the opinions on this board a lot

thanks in advance

DanElectro Cool Cat Chorus is great.
Consumes 2 9v batteries quickly - works great with an ac adapter.

I`d like to recommend the Meistersinger Chorus Pedal from Jaques Isler. A fine Chorus in a sturdy Box.

Yeah I like them Boss twin chorus pedals. I've the EQ20 and it's rock solid, like all Boss stuff.

I find the Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus pedals just great and they do a pretty good job of getting the Univibe type swirling sound -for around $55 the Electro Harmonox Small Clone would be my next choice.

TC Electronics has made some pretty good time based FX over the years as has Eventide. TC Hellicon, like TC Electronics, is also a division of the TC group and they are making some bold new quality gear as well. I just bought a Hellicon vocal harmonizer for guitarists and it is truly impressive.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I've been using a JOHNSON chorus pedal I bought from a church. It's boss style, and sounds amazing. you can get one for around $30-$40

i vote small clone.... since i got it for my birthday in august ive added 2 other EH pedals to my chain; sovtek big muff and sovtek small stone, and im about to add a new polychorus to the family 8)

actually, with that being said, i suppose you could also check out the polychorus, although its more or less its own instrument than an effects pedal

cheers

I recommend a Boss Ce 3. Boss has not made them in a pong time, however, you mentioned a used item. I have owned mine for 20+ years and it still sounds just as killer as they day I bought it. The Ce 5 is it's younger brother. Honestly I haven't played though any other chorus pedals because I am just not looking for one at this time.

If you have a chance, play through as many as you can and see which one will be the best fit for your style and tone.

I bought an 80's era Ibanez UE 300 pedal that has a killer chorus on it after ME mentioned that he used the pedal on most of his tours. I also have the Boss CH-1(dual output)

If you choose to go EH just don't go for the Nano version. Get the regular big boy. The Nano is a nightmare!
