Here's the first little thing I've done with my new recording gear. It's pretty basic and I have no drum machine or bass so I just used my the E and A strings of my Strat with the tone turned down to simulate a bass and overlayed the rhythm, strat with wah, and clean Les Paul with a little delay thrown in. It's not long and although basic pentatonic minor, it doesn't completely suck either. Have a listen.

Sounding good, Jack!

You can download (free) Acoustica's Beatcraft which works well for most generic drum sounds. I use it a lot and have some cool fills setup with it as well.

Thanks man. I really appreciate it. Playing with other guitars (although it's me, myself, and I) is really different for me. Until a couple of weeks ago, I didn't have the software to record or even plug up to the computer and use backtracks, so I'm enjoying the hell out of this. It's nice to play with my own rhythm etc, although I'm still learning. My biggest problem is that I don't take the time to actually edit anything. It's one take for each guitar so I can finish my idea as quickly as I can so I can go to the next idea. So in about 10-15 minutes, I have my recording, but it's rough. I'm hoping to get out alot of stuff in my head and after a month or so, I'll come back and clean some of it up. At the rate I'm going, I'll have 60 of them in a month since I still practice everynight and only have enough time to make a couple songs......maybe I won't clean it up just yet

Is it just me or do most people start naming their stuff as "screwing around" or "complete rubbish" or "don't know what the hell I was thinking" ????

Keep it coming guys. I love to listen to stuff that I'll never be able to play. ha! There is major talent out there and I love to hear new good music!

MobilePre USB. Awesome little contraption with ProTracks software to record. The MobilePre can be used witha nything though. I can turn on MediaPlayer with a backtrack and play till I run out of breath. A friend of mine gave both to me. He was on to bigger and better equipment and gave it to me as a B-day present. Hell, I've been jumping around like a teenager since I got it.

Oh, and I'll plug for Kenny again here since he did give me the equipment! Look up Creep Left on YouTube guys. Great Music and you can vote for them at www.94xrocks.com to get them playing time on the radio. Great Band, Great People.
