A couple of hours ago a guy I played in a band with years ago sent me an invite to join the Klaatu fan club.I was always a fan of their music as they were head and shoulders better than most groups playing in the late 70's -early 80's.Their music was just about on par with the Beatles for lyrical content and sophistication of the melodies.

It was rumoured at the time that Klaatu was in fact the Beatles reformed as a side project and a lot of people thought the rumour to be true.I didn't read the whole blog on their fan site but I believve that they have reformed ad are now playing gigs again-I hope so.Klaatu didn't seem to catch on outside Canada which is a pity as songs like "I Can't Help It" "Howl At The Moon" "Magentaline" and many others were just superb examples of what they were capable of musically.

I have 2 of their albums on CD: Klaatu and Hope. Great tunes on both! I first heard these albums back in the 70s and loved them. These were the only albums by Klaatu that I've heard. A few years back I searched on-line and found both albums on a single CD so I had to buy it.
