Hey friends...

So soon I will be ordering a pickguard from Warmoth for the Tele, and I'm still up in the air between a few different colors. I'm looking for photos of black guitars with various color pickguards. So if you have some pics you can post for me of black guitars with different color pickguards I'd appreciate it. I'm most interested in (in order) Mint Green, Tortoise, and "vintage" pearl pickguards, but all pictures are welcome. Thanks in advance guys.

Also, suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks guys (and girls).

Here's the Tele as it sits. I like the black on black look, but I want to spice it up a bit.

Tortoise shell would look nice if you can find a decent one. I went through half a dozen before I found one to my liking.

Tim, white guitar with black pick guard/accents is killer, black guitar is BA major add a black pick guard and you have the ultimate. My favorite color is red so my go to is red on red. of course these are solid body electric guitars and this is IMHO YMMV.

Kind of the main thing that's got me a little apprehensive about ordering a tortoise pickguard sight-unseen. But custom is the only way to go with the 3 pickup setup.
The more I think on it the more I like Mint green really. And I've always liked the "vintage" yellowed pearl, but I'm not sure if that would be something I'd keep on there forever.
No mint green guards guys? Gotta be one on here somewhere.

And nice pics so far guys. That tortoise on black look is nice indeed.

Bought the Black Pearl from Warmoth for my Black Strat.
Also bought black vol/tone knobs and switch knob.

Looks fantastic! Added a ton of mojo...

I also bought black pup covers but I like it with the white ones. I may change just to see how they look.

I think that's what I like as well. I like mint green on black as it's just not something you see very often. And from the actually very few pics I've found of black Fenders with mint guards, it's just a nice look. And nothing that I'll be likely to grow tired of, like I probably would with pearloid. The tortoise is nice and still one of my favorites, but I think I like it better on a white guitar (my Ibanez would be nice with one).

Best pic I've found online of a black guitar with a mint guard (not my guitar).

Really need that drooling emoticon now, but based on Beaubs teachings, will do just fine here.

I've been thinking about changing the guard on my black Strat for
a long time too (as well as taking a better picture!) :

I've always liked the look of white pearl on a black guitar.
