Two years in a row the sound crew sucked. Am I the only one not hearing Slash's guitar? There were drummers and trumpet players on stage that were barely heard.
Let's not give Ms. Aguilera a pass on her godawful rendition of the national anthem either, how do you forget the words to that?

Given the artist, and her ilk, your question is asked and answered. Give us a break!! It's time to return The National Anthem to a position of respect when being sung. I'm tired of these 'vintage/ modern' interpretations. If I want an American Idol stylized performance, I know where to turn. Some things ought to be left well alone. 'The Star-Spangled Banner" is one of them.

I agree 100% Doc It's one that should be left alone and perform with the grace and respect that it deserves.

That said when are they going to stop singing God Bless American at 7th inning stretch doing Base Ball games? No one should forget 9-11 but come on now return to the traditional songs that were play in the past. In Baltimore it was Thank God I'm a Country Boy (John Denver) and every body be clapping and having fun looking at the big screen as the camera roams around and it was festive. Its the seventh inning of a ball game people.

Now its half time at the Super Bowl and your watching at home, who cares it's time to get up and take a leak maybe look out the door to see the weather. Get munches ready for the second half put the dog out. I not watching Football for the music thats for sure!!!!

Congrats to the Pac... but the whole "entertainment" factor was an Epic Fail! The Blackeyed Peas???? Why would Slash even try to get in that mix? Oh well... I should have just changed the channel :?

I thought it was weird to see RuPaul in those sparkly shoulder pads at halftime.
