To the best of my knowledge, no. Your cheapest way out is to buy an aftermarket pickguard with 'normal' humbucker cuts. This way, you'll be able to replace the OEMs with whatever you want.

+1
You can get pickguards from Warmoth custom cut for any pickup combo, and they have several quality materials you can choose from. And the price is pretty low as well.

Check 'em out. They should be able to do whatever you need. Good luck.
One question though; Why are you wanting to swap the pickups out? the wide range fender humbuckers are amazing sounding pickups.

Is the string spacing the same as normal with the Wide Range?

No. You'd have to get "F" or "Trembucker" spacing.

I know this is a long dead thread but I found it while searching for pickups (I have a bid on a 72 Custom at Ebay) and felt it was worthwhile to add since others may find it. When replacing a neck humbucker pickup in a Tele, you can generally use a regular spaced pickup, or the F spaced pickup, either is fine. Obviously, you still need a new appropriate pickguard, which Warmoth sells for 30-40 bucks.

At the bridge, the F spacing (wider) does matter since that is where the string spacing is widest.

This guy's located very near me, makes very good copies of the WRHB at a reasonable price and they sound incredible. I've mentioned him a few times on this forum, not affiliated in any way, I just like to see a local manufacturer turning out a good product.

Even better, he makes them in standard humbucker sizes too AND the three-screw trembucker design.

Lollar makes some "Wide Range"-style pickups that are touted fairly heavily...by Jasom Lollar
I don't know how good they are--I have only read his company's ads in relation to those pups.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Telenator, the only place where you can get real CuNiFe magnet wide range humbuckers. At a grand for a pair, they're not exactly cheap, but if you want the authentic Seth Lover sound, there's probably no alternative.

I wish that Fender would sell the Custom Shop variety of the new one, but they don't appear to do so - just the regular issue. I'll probably go with the Creamery myself, as best value for the money.

Check out our local pickup maker Craig Vineham, his pickups are just plain incredible. I just got a set of 3 Sweet 59 Vs that absolutely nail the PAF tone and they only cost $80 each. His pickups were tested against Lollars,Duncans and several other brands, including boutique pickups and his pickups won every category that they were in.Fellow Forum member Blinkers has Vineham pickups both single coil and humbuckers in just about all of his guitars now and they all scream. For pickguards I go to the folks at GreasyGroove. These people make literally thousands of patterns on their pickups and if you want a custom pup made all you have to do is send a full size template of what you need plus a photo helps.

You can email Craig at craig@vineham.com or go to his website: http://www.vineham.com/ I'm amazed by the pickups that I have in my Les Paul Custom and now I'm considering getting a set of his mini hums put in my Firebird.

For pickguards go to: http://greasygroove.com/ they are a great bunch to deal with.Cheers

I just had a look at the Vineham website, didn't see anything even close to a wide range humbucker, am I missing something?

I have bad experience with them. Charging S&H for items marked with free shipping, charging your card immediately, but taking forever to send the order, never informing you when and how it's actually sent.
And unless you're in Canada, expect looooong shipping times.

Hi Gilga Frank and arth1,Craig does make a wide range pickup,in fact the Sweet V-59s I bought are wide ranging pickups, but all you have to do Is tell Craig exactly what type of tone and responsiveness you want from a pup and he will certainly wind it to your specs. Blinkers actually wanted a 'bucker with a P-90 like sparkle and that's what he got.I haven't heard anything that can even come close to Vineham pups, they are just incredible. With regard to GreasyGroove,I've had great service and experience with them,in fact when they found part of my order that they didn't quite understand, they phoned me and said they wanted to make sure that they got it right rather than go ahead and send out something that wasn't suitable.I believe that the free shipping only applies with Canadian orders,I find that works both ways as most US music suppliers offer free shipping within the US and Canadian customers sometimes have to pay through the nose for shipping charges.I have often had to cancel orders at the last minute when shipping charges were way more than the cost of the item ordered.GreasyGroove orders usually arrive within a week of placing the order.I guess no matter if you are in the US or Canada,cross-border mail order shopping is usually an expensive way to buy things-so much for free trade.
