So gutted by this. He was a true Belfast legend (where I live). Also talk already about erecting a statue of him.

If they can name one of our airports after George Best surely they can find a fitting tribute for this man.

Some of the 'old hands' who knew him here are truly gutted at losing an old friend. I look forward to hearing their stories when I catch them in town.

Sadly I only saw him once with Bob Dylan here about 5 or 6 years ago. He was amazing. No other word for it.

RIP big man.

I can't believe it. I just read about his death in the Blues Foundation newsletter this morning. Always one of my favorites. It's a shame more people, especially in the U.S., didn't appreciate him more.
