a good friend of mine told me about and tried to school me on Peter Green for a long time before I sat down and gave him a listen. Boy did i lose out on a lot of time that I could have been enjoying his music. The guy was something special.

Back when Fleetwood Mac was a serious Blues band. And now everyone knows Carlos Santana did not write Black Magic Woman.

Or The Supernatural.

Peter Green spent quite a bit of time apologizing for influencing Carlos Santana to take up guitar.
He was as mad as a march hare at the time though.

What else can you say about Peter Green? I suppose his musical genius had to be followed up by the fame and it makes me wonder, how many of us could actually take it.
I'd like to know what happened that day in Germany, when he and Danny Kirwan got spiked. Someone or persons should have answered for that. I can remember Mick Fleetwood wanted to get a hold of those characters...I hope he or somebody did.
It was a dark day when we lost Peter Green. I thought he had turned things around in recent years, saw him dancing around a stage, all happy and glad to be playing again.
I hope he finds what he's looking for one day.

It's a shame, he doesn't play like he used to.
