I think Dean ought to sue Gibson just like Gibson sued Paul Reed Smith (over the single cutaway PRS models).

That Zakk Wylde thing is uglier than a bowl of oatmeal.

The Bonamassa Les Firebird is less of a travesty than the ZW piece of crap.

Many current Gibsons are proof that a "new" idea is not always a "good" idea.

Gibson seems to be hellbent on cornering the market on hideous monstrosities. With that Zakk Wilde SG/V and that uglier-than-a-baboons-butt Graveyard Disciple and other less than eyecatching examples like the FirebirdX combined with their ever increasing lack of quality it will only be a matter of time when the company gets into dire financial straits and has to knuckle down to a complete overhaul.

Gibson just came out with these too. Around 800 bucks. P-90's pretty sweet.

Not everything Gibson's putting out is hideous. I think the Blacktops are pretty ugly.
Almost everyone has nasty looking stuff.

It's a fact that people said exactly the same things about the Flying Vee and the Explorer back in '58. Took em what? Another nine years to get accepted.

I think that may be what Gibson is aiming to repeat.
Without knocking up a time machine, I can't say if they'll sell. Somehow I doubt they'll last that long, but Gibson could be planning on listening to the market and re-releasing them in a decade. When lots of folks could be singing their praises.

I'm as sick of the bad looking guitars out of Gibson as anyone. The above is the only explanaition I can think of for their actions.

Sorry I don't like that SG. It looks like a even cheaper version of the Les Paul 50's classic Tribute pyjamas Worn Over Ladies UnderWear thing. Or whatever it was called.
Which did sell very well. They were gone as soon as they landed in the UK.

The JB model guitar makes sense, it is a sig model for someone who is deserving and has a large fan base. it'll sell just like the EPI JB LP model will sell. Not so sure about the other guitar listed here.

Why did it cross this mind, "little boys" who find the Zak Wylde look / vibe / identity appealing, might be "severely lacking" in a male hormone beginning with "T"...?

Poor freaking Gibson. Doing the Limbo; "How low can you go?"

From the company which brought you the Les Paul Goldtop, ES-335, SG, Thunderbird, L-5, J-160E, Mastertone Banjo and F-5 Mandolin...

I'm a big fan of Zakk Wylde, but his guitars seem to have been designed by 5 year olds. The same can be said for his music videos with BLS.
