How often do you change your strings?

I change mine about every 2 or 3 months depending on how much I play the guitar. If my fingers start to change color while I'm playing it's time for a string change.

Almost every gig, I sweat and my strings don't last.

Every 2 months or before a gig. Although I think I may buy some flatwounds soon because I love the sound of flatwounds and they last longer.

Flatwound strings are cool, I use them on all my guitars and on my Beatle Bass copy.
On my A/E bass I use Fender tape wound nylon strings

when they start feeling gungey or lose their bite. My am dlx strat gets changed the most because it gets played the most. I normally break a string on it, seems to always be the d string at the bridge, and change the whole set.

About once a month on whatever axe I'm playing the most.

If my brother in law touches any of them, the strings get changed the next day. He has the most acidic sweat known to man.

I am very easy on strings. My hands are clean when I start playing and I wipe of the strings when I'm done.

Only when one breaks. I use heavy gauge Ernie Balls, so they last forever. When they do break, it's because the rust has eaten them away.

When they get too grungy, I use very fine sand paper to wrap around the string and then go up and down to clean them. Whenever it comes to this, the strings have already lost their valuable properties, so there's no harm done really.

I have heard of people boiling their strings to clean them.

I change my strings every 3 months or so. I use Elixirs, and they last for a very long time.

Only when one breaks 'cause I freakin hate changing them.

Done it a hundred times, still can't do it well.
