Hi, I am thinking about getting a stratacoustic for a relative- mainly because of the shape and weight (if it's light enough) I was wondering if anyone knows how much one of these weigh?

Thanks!

Anyone that owns one- would you mind putting it on a digi bathroom scale? I would be very grateful! The person I want to get it for has health issues.

I don't own one, otherwise, I'd weigh it up for you, but I have played one, and it was pretty lightweight. I'd say between 6 and 7 pounds at the most, should be easy to handle. The back and sides are of fiberglass if I'm not mistaken, so that in itself should really help to keep the weight light.
If you are planning on purchasing the guitar from a music store and not privately, most places will give up to 30 days to return the guitar if it doesn't work for you. Even on used gear.
Good luck, and hopefully somebody that owns one will chime in soon.

My Stratacoustic weighs a grand total of 5.4 lbs. and when it's amplified it sounds like a 300 lb.bruiser just a great guitar and the Strat neck makes it a dream to play.It isn't as full sounding as most dreadnaught guitars unplugged but still sounds quite good but when amplified is where it shines.
