I could never use D'adarios after using Ernies, Ive stuck on them since about '96 :) To me, they feel a lot nicer- especially bending and they have a brighter sound to them

+1 for Ernie Ball. I use Super Slinkies and they are by FAR my favorites. And I think I've tried just about everything out there. If I had to choose something other than Ernie Ball, the Dean Markley Blue Steels and DR strings are pretty close to the feel of the EB's.

That's why I like the D'Addarios--they're not as bright as some other brands (that sounds like me--not as bright as others :? ).

But seriously, I like the slightly darker/richer sound I get from D'Addario XL strings.

On electrics I currently use EB regular (10-46) and power slinky (11-48). They are ok, no complaints and are most often on special so I get them for cheap.

In the past used D'addarios XL110 and 115 and Fender bullets. I usually get what ever is on special.

On my Strats I've only used GHS Boomers (10-46) almost exclusively. I can't say they're better or worse specifically over the others but I started with them and stuck.

I'm currently experimenting on different strings again. My favorite strings are usually Dean Markley Blue Steel or a combination of Dean Markley Flatwound and Dean Markley Blue Steel.

Ernie Balls obviosuly break way too easy under the right circumstances, Dean Markleys loose their sound after awhile, so my pick is D 'Addario, theyve been making strings longer than most guitar companies have been alive
