well both of my guitars are officially out of commission due to broken strings. I'm thinking of switching from my usual Ernie slinky's to a different set. I'm thinking about using Fender stainless steel regular gauge strings. Anybody recommend em?

Are you sure the strings are the problem ?
Not the bridge itself, Fender trems are notorious for breaking strings when incorrectly set up.
Just because it's intonated does not mean it's all set.

When a string breaks, where is it severing, that is the clue pointing to the problem.
Often the string will chafe against the bridge plate at the hole where the string comes up but below the saddle. This becomes a fulcrum and stresses the string by causing an indentation thus a weak point and as tension is increased when you use the bar, the weakest point of the string is unable to stretch so then severs at the pressure point.

You said Ernie Balls slinky's... what size are your strings ? they could be too light for the application as well as the set up..

I liked the Fender Super 250R Nickel-Plated Steel strings I tried recently. Could be worth a try

As far as brands I couldn't tell you I love Ernie Ball strings although I guess I really should try some other brands. Most others are at least a couple of dollars more, that's why I stick with EB's and almost everyone of my favorite guitarists play EB's

I currently have Ernie Balls on one of my Teles which I really like. I've just put GHS Boomers on my other Tele which I'm not really liking (hard to explain but they feel quite thick and stiff even though they're lighter than the EBs!) and I have Dean Markley Blue Steels on my Strat. Now these I really like. I've used Fender Super Bullets before and found them very good. Good tone and good feel. Give 'em a go.

I tried GHS Boomers recently and found them stiff and this evening I put a set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky 8-38s that I was given for Christmas on my Epi G-400 Custom and found them to be way stiffer than my usual D'Addario 8-38s.So far the D'Addario 8-38s are the most flexible and durable of strings, all others I have tried in the past few months seem way stiffer and harder to bend and D'Addarios sound new for a longer period of time than others.

I put some Fender 150Rs Super Bullets on my Strat and Dean Markley 1973 Vintage Reissue strings on my tele. Both are amazing, I may not go back to Ernie Ball at all. The Markley's give an awesome tone on my tele.
