It is to do with the amount of posts you have made. The more posts, the more picks, the more advanced your rank is.

By the way, hows the weather over there? Here in Seattle we've actually had 3 or 4 days of sun!! I'm thinking it's the end of the world. So is the rain in Glasgow cold or colder today?

I've always wanted to visit Seattle :)

Seattle's a very cool town. You'd fit right in. The weather would feel just like home, only a tad warmer. Oh and more hippies.

I knew a Girl named Alli (Allison). I could tell by one of your posts you were a guy, so I thought you're user name refered to an Ally one might find a Stray Cat in. What is Ally short for, or is it just the whole name? (I always feel like a little kid when I ask people from another country about stuff like this)

It's short for Alastair (or Alistair, Alasdair, Alasdhair etc - there are god knows how many variations) it's the Scottish version of the name alexander.

I usually get called Al, Ally, or James (long story). Lot's of people also spell Ally 'Ali' but I've never liked that spelling as my name is spelt with an a not an i :)

I guess it's not all that common a name stateside.
