got rearended last week and having to replace the bumper, rear hatch and glass i am now losing my Fender bumper stickers. my local music store told me "buy a new fender, not one of the damn squiers and we'll give you a couple, otherwise dont waste our time" so in addition to losing my local source for strings and parts and accesories i also need some replacement decals. i have looked and looked for an email address for fender to request some new ones with no luck. any clues as to who i need to try next? as i own 5 fenders and 4 squiers a new guitar isnt very likely for the foreseeable future. Lucky for me i can just do a 160 mile round trip and go to the guitar center in Charlotte when the time comes for accesories and the new Jazzmaster i'm getting for my birthday in august.

oh, they HAVE lost my business. i own 12 electrics and 3 acoustics, i play several hours a day, especially when my back is hurting so badly i cant walk around very well (broken neck and back 4 years ago this March) so i go through loads of strings, i used to buy tubes, strings, pedals and other accesories from Sims but THAT comment from the stores manager and the owners reaction when i said something about it (he didnt give a $@!&)i'll just buy in bulk when i make it to Charlotte from Columbia SC. 13 years of doing business with these people and when a simple request like the one i made was received like it was. over the years i've spent thousands of dollars with them (only 3 guitars but a shitpot full of strings and accesories) i actually WENT to a guitar center for the first time over the weekend and i about flipped upon walking in and seeing hundreds of guitars all over the damn place. it'll be a nice monthly roadtrip for me and a great way to spend a day out of the house when i'm mobile enough to do so.

I'd make it known to the money hungry cheapskates in no uncertain terms that for that stupid putdown they lost hundreds if not thousands of future business and I'd also let it spread within the musician community just how mercinary and arrogant these jerks are. BTW did you offer to pay for the stickers or ask if they were for sale first?

i actually asked if they had any for sale...........even though decals and bumper stickers are almost always free there. i make it a point not to ask for freebies unless i've just spent several hundred or thousands on a new piece of equipment. i WAS going to buy my Orange class a amp from them and made sure the owner knew why i was now going to drive 160 miles round trip to buy it at the guitar center now instead of a 5 mile round trip to them. i worked in customer service jobs in one capacity or another for many years before opening my own shop in 2006 and i would never have even thought about treating a customer that way...............whether they just brought a set of carb kits or had be rebuild an entire bike.

The local music store owner in this town made me mad by some smart remarks years ago and lost all my business,I would drive to Nashville to buy a pick if I had to...there's no need to run off a good customer,but people do....and I'm not the only one that person has made mad.

That's customer service for you. If it was said jokingly to a very good friend/customer(and then he handed you the sticker) that would be different, but this guy sounds like he doesn't want to stay in business long.

the vacuum store is a lot like the guitar store. but they do not attract the same clientele as the guitar store, cause if they did, the vacuum store would be loaded with a bunch of broke guys who just wanted to run the new vacuums.
