From his book "Life" I felt i should share this with you guys: "I firmly believe if you want to be a guitar player you better start on acoustic and then graduate to electric. Don't think you're going to be Townshend or Hendrix just because you can go wee wee wah wah and all the electric tricks of the trade. First you’ve got to know that f***er and you go to bed with it. If there's no woman around sleep with it. She's just the right shape"

Keef be hip.

His timeless, eloquent wisdom parallels that of the great American mid-20th century philosopher, Frank Zappa, who left us two diamonds of profundity.

1. "Shut up and play your guitar."

2. "Shut up and play your guitar some more."

I just read that passage last night in Keith's book!!
It's so far a very good read. Lots of great stories of what it was like to grow up with an obsession of American Blues artists. Chicago Blues more specifically.

I thought it interesting that he didn't really want to be a guitar player.
