As Bill has suggested, some of us have networked. There's three on here presently who are a comfortable auto trip from me, and one out east of me about an hour whom I've not met yet, not to mention the Florida contingent many of you know, whom I have the pleasure of breaking bread with at least once a year. So this can evolve into something quite real if one makes the effort.

Often than not, life has a way of intervening in one's leisure time. As Niki has suggested, Facebook is another interface whose 'friending' I have personally limited to the Forum, with one or two exceptions, and that opens the opportunity for a wider discourse beyond matters found herein.

I've noticed that as well CV.

Doc, many of the Bros here have been kind enough to friend me on FB, myspace and youtube.
Funny, to think of the ones who haven't, miss their posts and threads, a tentative hypothesis. 8)

We have a lot of drive by shooters (posters), some that stop in from time to time and a few that take time off to play the real game of life, but it's always great to see the familiar fine folks that come by on a regular basis. 8)

Sometimes life throws objects at you and it's not always easy to keep
up a 'happy face' and go on as if nothing's happened or even bring up
certain personal things on an international forum.

At any rate, I wish him the best!

I remember him when he burst on the scene with the 'mia vs mim' topics knowing that the thread would get out of hand but he did enjoy sparking sparking the fire and missing the firefight  But in all & all, over time you get a sense into how we all think and I must say we think very much alike on certain topics of discussion. I think he was a top bloke, the type that had an opinion and wasnt afraid to say his piece. Maybe he should have got involved in politics..

It would be good to have him back and lomitus too- but yer know, if he doesnt want to come back then he doesnt want to come back..

Which on the subject of Bookface, maybe we should band together on that one too. I have no problem with showing most of you who I am :D

Hey guys and gals, things definitely get in the way sometimes, like a 5 month old little darling. I actually got to play my acoustic last night until my fingers hurt, and it'll be fun rebuilding up the caluses. It's good to see that most are still here from 6 months ago.

I hear that! I have an 8 month old who takes up the majority of my time now! I don't have much time to play, and I only have time to post on coffee breaks and lunch!

errrrrr exactly not quite sure what the real game of life is but......... when the forum was upgraded, in one fell swoop i couildnt access it at work. I used to read posts then praps reply then if i had time, ( ) or wait till i got home.
Its been a bit of a sh$%^ new year, my mums cancer has returned and she aint no spring chicken and beating it first time in 2009 almost finished her off (no pun intended) and along with other probs right now it just makes being on here less than easy at present.

Another thing, the number of times ive not posted due to the subject matter (think politics and especially religion) on here and chewed my chops off keeping stum ......... well id have made another 20 posts at least :)

On a lighter note ive swapped out my guitar pups now and anything that helps my playing as in tone has gotta be a good thing ! No sniggering at the back

Goodwill to all . . . Al

Hi Al: my mum had cancer for 14 years. I have some small idea what your mother is going through - and you too. Goodwill to both of you from... not so far away.

Best wishes - C

I don't know if it helps at all that someone you've never met is out there in the e-darkness feeling empathy with your situation. But if it does - go with it!

What's happening for you is some of the crappiest stuff that life has to dish out. So friendly vibes coming to you down the copper wire.

Hang in there - C

Strange how 90% of my favorite forum brothers here all wind up on the same post which saves me a lot of writing of names. Well Nik from an old TV show they used to say there are 8 million stories in the naked city, lets just say one of them was mine with a little helping push from the wife lol. Glad though to see just about everyone is here and hopefully doing well, and now BigJay popping up would just about complete things.
