There's an ad in the local Buy&Sell mag for an Ibanez DM-2000 for only $100.I have a DM-1000 that I paid over $750 for in 1984 but the DM-2000 is a much more versatile rig. I was wondering about getting it as an early birthday gift(birthday in March)it's very tempting for such a great piece of gear-what should I do?

Good deal if you like the rack mount units. I'm using a Maxon Analog delay pedal
and really like that one a lot. I think Maxon might have even made the older
Ibanez ones?

Don't leave home without it!

I just sold a 1984 Ibanez AD-9 for $60 last year. It was a decent delay but it went through batteries fast and sucked tone, plus the decay was kind of weird. I think Digital Delays are better sounding.
