Well, there's presently an enterprise known as "Edible Arrangements" who do "floral" arrangments in fresh fruits. This takes it to another level. Seem to remember something on the Food Channel where a cake, in the shape of a Stratocaster was baked for someone's birthday. So, it's been done. I'm sure that Fender has had it's headstock cast in chocolate somewhere along the line.

I passed one of their vans yesterday on the way home, each time I see one I think how clever..

OK... I have to get back to my Strato build project. On the neck sanding prior to another coat of Polycrylic.

When I read the topic title, I thought it was a discussion about near-future petroleum prices. Glad I was mistaken.

My focus in 2011 is on finding a stompbox that will emulate my old early '70s Univox Superfuzz FY6 (not the FY2) -- serious fuzz with endless sustain and a hint of up octave. The originals are going for $600 to $800 these days!!!

My first attempt was a Guyatone TZ2 "The Fuzz". I picked it up on eBay 'cuz they've been discontinued and the new models are based on a different circuit. It was DOA. :x That's what I get for trying to buy on the cheap. Now I'm willing to pay boutique bucks but I want to be sure I get it right the first time.

I will. The quest begins with these three candidates:
Wattson Classic Fuzz - consensus best clone
Black Cat Superfuzz - also in the discussion; great t-shirt
73 Effects Superfuzz - gorgeous red wedge & a bit cheaper . . . but I've tried that already

You'll walk into some store somewhere along the way, with no alterior motives whatsoever, and like the siren's call to Ulysses, there it'll be.

Well for me it's looking like another Orville by Gibson Les Paul reissue  I have my eye on a 94 LPS-57B Gold Top and a 93 Orville LPS-59R Tobacco Burst. Those ObG reissues are just fantastic guitars, I have one already and just can't put the thing down!!!

i hope to see a rebel in your future tim. you will love it bro.

I actually started checking them out after a suggestion from 63supro I believe, and then when you got yours and had such great things to say about it, I had to check them out. I love the tube mix feature, and if I choose the Rebel over the Laney, that one feature will probably be the deciding factor.
