I am quite literally as far east as you can go in North America-take a right when you leave Nova Scotia and you hit Newfoundland-the nearest European landmass to us is the beautiful Emerald Isle of Ireland.BTW I live on what is known as the Irish Loop-it's a stretch of about 100 miles of communities where 99% of the inhabitants are of direct Irish ancestry. Most of the dialects in the Irish Loop are identical to the dialects of many Irish counties. My family and our neighbours are part of the 1% that's not of Irish descent.

I was going to burst your bubble but I then I looked at a map and noticed that you are right. Even though Látrabjörg in Iceland is europes point furthest to the west, from where you are Ireland is closer. :)

I live in Hafnarfjörður, on the southwest corner of Iceland a ten minute drive from Reykjavík (the Capitol of Iceland) and about 30 minutes from Keflavík Airport. If I remember correctly there are some US Navy veterans here that were stationed in Keflavik.

We haven't had much over 32 yet - I just react badly to it. I shouldn't be complaining since Melbourne has 40 forecast this week (42 for Adelaide), I just don't like sweating when I'm not exercising.
