One of my dream guitars, if I ever have a spare $20,000 laying around, is a vintage Gibson Super 400 CES. A stunning example of lutherie and a world class jazz box.

a VG strat has so many possibilities...... also an EJ strat would be great, as well as this "palo escrito telecaster" i played once..... such a nice guitar for MIM and such a relatively good price, which, sadly i didnt have at the time

I'd love to own a traditional jazz box myself, but I'd prefer a Guild.

I'm a Guild man from way back. I sure wouldn't mind an X-700.

So when is Guild going to start producing some of those great electric models they were famous for???

I would think Fender would benefit greatly from a Starfire to steal some of Gibby's 335 customers. Guild's jazz boxes were superior instruments, adding an extra dimension and class to an already great Fender line. I find it very sad that Fender just dropped the entire electric line when they bought Guild. There's a lot of history there.

I suspect R&D money for Guild is a bit thin what with all the brands Fender has bought lately.I'm sure it makes great business sense, but at the risk of sounding like the ocurmudgeon I probably am,I'd prefer to see that money spent on the Guild brand. In my opinion there's nothing Charvel,Jackson,Gretsch or any of the new additions can do that Guild couldn't do just as well or better.

I would pick a red american stratocaster.

I would pick Clapton's Blackie.

Because then I could sell it, pay off my house, and have plenty left over to buy other guitars.

Yes, me too, definetly. And I want the black leather jumpsuit to go with it, hehehe.

But for a Fender, I gotta pick the SRV signature.

Yeah, I dig the leather jumpsuit. Very rock n roll.

I'd like an American Ash Deluxe in candy green or sherwood green.
Thanks.
