Ditto...however...in this case.....the instrument is the player, the guitar, and the signal chain functioning in synchronous harmony. Not taking away from his unquestioned virtuosity, he has spent years exploring the possiblities of the generation of sound from the electronic systems he is using. The volumes necessary to 'hear' these sounds are a necessity because many of them are generated from extremely subtle manipulations of the guitar's systems and then they are additionally 'colored' by the signal processors that he uses. To sum up by saying that Jeff Beck is an extremely gifted artist who paints in sound would not be an inappropriate conclusion.

As I told Mike privately, the idea of using genetically engineered viruses specific to infect malignant cells is also being explored. The intent of this is that the virus is absent one or more factors that the cell requires to duplicate, and hence, dies.

The chemo meds, especially Oxaliplatin (Eloxatin®) contain some nasty indgredients. It's great to be able to reach in the 'fridge' without a glove on and drink cold beverages without feeling like you're swallowing fire! This would only target the cancer cells and leave the normal (or good cells, if you wish) alone. A really great study and could save many from some really bad side effects.
