I bought 10 guitars between 2003 and 2005, but only one since then and that was in 2007. Still need a 12-string, a baritone (bring back the Sub-sonic) and an E.C. signature Strat in pewter with the old Lace Sensor pups. And a Master Series guitar like the Esprit or Flame. I think that's it. And a Tele with a HB in the neck. Yep, that's it.

The interesting thing about this burst is the 'red' which one would not expect to see in a '54 guitar. It also seems to have more of a yellow 'face'. Some how I get the feeling that these traditional SB finishes turn out at whim of the individual doing it.

I got a Washburn D10SCE acoustic/electric last month. It's a great sounding solid top after I changed the P..O..S.. saddle that came with it. I can't believe they would put a $69 Rouge saddle on a supposed $750 MFSR guitar. But with the TUSQ saddle it sounds really good. I'm glad I got it.

Perhaps why I don't like a lot of bursts. I gotta see a gentle shift of flat colour, rather than blocky bands. Something Mr Cherokee's guitar has in spades is a gentleness to the eye. Tremundioso 8)

Doc if I had a sunburst HR, then I wouldn't be allowed to have a red one! I can convince the missus to allow me a guitar of a different nature. She'll never allow one thats identical aside from the paint though. :|
And I gotta prioritize the colour scheme.

As for my last purchase, a couple of years ago I got this for less than a new American Deluxe costs. With this I simply have no need for another guitar.

Just got a Jackson DK2M yesterday. Prior to that it had been 9 months to a year since I bought a guitar. Maybe 6 months since I bought an amp.

Dude, I'd love to have one of those Jacksons. Those particular necks are bomb, and look fantastic!!

I bought my most recent guitar at the beginning of the year, a Fender MIM strat, in candy apple red with a rosewood board. I changed the strings up from 9's to 10's, lowered the action a tiny bit and it plays great. Before that I had bought a Squier strat in december 2009, lovely player but the electrics weren't too great. It's now a project guitar, I'm slowly upgrading and learning about the inner workings of guitars with it. When I'm finished this it will be the no.2 to my MIM strat :)

That Dinky is lovely! One of my favourite guitars 8)

That Dinky is a stunner. A moody and mean looking stunner, but a stunner non the less.
