I got a 12-String guitar this Christmas, but other than that, I've only had one guitar since I started playing about a year ago. A 2008 (I believe) Fender MIM HSS Strat.

My last guitar purchace was last week. I got a 2010 Blacktop Stratocaster. I usually go a long time between guitars, but the last 5 years, I have been working hard on my Stratocaster collection. I am finally finished for now. My next Stratocaster is going to be something very special. A MIA Deluxe, or do I dare say it...a Custom Shop built to my specifications.

Seriously I am done for now. Now time to work on my amp collection.

My latest addition to the stable is my Epi Les Paul Traditional Pro which I hope to finally post pix of this week along with my Marshall MS4 Micro Stack that I bought to keep her company.

Mine was a 1997 Guild Bluesbird Goldtop with Seymour Duncan 57's in it.

Last guitar I got was actually a trade for my Taylor; got a NOS 2005 Custom Shop Tele in CAR, never played.
Last actual purchase was a 2007 Gibson ES335 in Pelham Blue.

My last one was just over two years ago (Really? where did the time go)
It was an Ibanez AF95 archtop.
It was my first purchase in way too long.

I traded for a Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro a week ago.

The purchase before that was a 2010 American Deluxe V Neck Strat bought right before Christmas.

My last purchase is actually going to be tomorrow when I officially pay for my new/used 2003 Highway One. I couldn't pass it up for $300, and even though the frets are a little rough it's still perfectly playable.

It will be my first new guitar since I was 15, so I've been GAS resistant for three years.

I received my 2010 American Deluxe Tele in Butterscotch Blonde on the 15th of January. Two weeks prior to that I also got a 2010 American Special Strat in two tone sunburst.

My last guitar purchase was a MIA Fender Strat HH in November. Before that it was a Jim Root Tele in 2007/08? Whenever they were released in the UK originally.
I have bought an amp and some recording stuff in between then though. Would like a Fender Thinline Tele or a Gibson V next, but when? Only Smarties have the answer!
By the way torresfan that is a sexy $@! Tele :)

I was curious about everyones last guitar purchase. I am also curious about how much time in between that guitar and the previous one. For example I started playing in 2006. I had some crappy strat copy and that was that. In 2009 with some help I bought a Schecter Omen 6. Now I am getting itchy for a new one. Cant afford it right now but maybe some serious saving and a little grad present to myself and I might pick something up.
How about you?

Keep in mind that your question addresses a very broad audience with an equally broad range of purchasing power. In my case, I recently took delivery of a '57VHR Stratocaster which had been ordered in April of 2010. It's finished like Torres' guitar shown above. One year prior to that, an Aged Cherry SB Deluxe VG Stratocaster on close out. Eight months prior to that a Gilmour NOS. Two months before that, a Pewter '89 Clapton. The year before that, a PRS Johnny Hiland. If you asked the same question of Alainlafrance, you'd be in shock at the kind and the price of HIS toys and the intervals between which he acquires them. 8)

Seems to me you have a pretty respectable assortment of gear at your disposal. In the price range you seem be able to operate in, I would not ignore the MIM Standards. They are quite a respectable guitar. I once dropped a set of DiMarzio Heavy Blues pickups into a Buddy Guy Polka Dot Stratocaster and let me tell you....those noiseless pups turned it into one helluva player. A recent article in Premier Guitar spoke to just that. You can reform a 'sleeper' with just the right change of electronics. Keep that in mind as you grow.
