I was curious about everyones last guitar purchase. What was it?
I am also curious about how much time in between that guitar and the previous one. For example
I started playing in 2006. I had some crappy strat copy and that was that. In 2009 with some help I bought a Schecter Omen 6. Now I am getting itchy for a new one. Cant afford it right now but maybe some serious saving and a little grad present to myself and I might pick something up.
How about you?

I picked up a new AS in Sienna Burst just this last Friday. It was my first guitar since I bought my Les Paul 2 years ago.

My last one has turned out to be an absolute gem of a guitar to play.

Image

It's a 2000 Ibanez RG 220-B. It was grungy when I bought it and needed some adjusting and setup work. Found it at a Pawn Shop for $125. After a thorough cleaning, adjustments, etc.. It was time to decide on some pickups for it.

Some of you might know, I've been getting pickups made for me by John Benson of Benson Custom Handwound. He sent me a humbucker set for it. The set had a 10k pickup originally designed for the bridge. But I didn't care for it much there. So I put it in the neck, and it's absolutely perfect!! I paired it up with a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge, and it screams like no other. Incidentally, John is sending me a new bridge pickup for it. Can't wait to hear what he comes up with.

Extremely comfortable, fast playing neck, low action, awesome sound. I couldn't be happier. I've played it at our last 4 shows, and I'm noticing my playing getting much better. It's just has that "it" factor that's unexplainable.

Well I bought my "new" (to me) Ibanez a few weeks ago. I bought my Tele back in June or so. And February '10 I spent a pretty penny on two Taylors. Bought the 614ce and decided I had to back for the 12 string GA3-12.

I got my Gibson les paul studio 50's tribute in December and I plan on getting a 70's era telecaster this summer and a Martin acoustic towards the end of the year.

sometimes you win sometimes ya lose.
i get really good deals most of the time,
but its hard work. lots of time is spent
chasing down deals. sometimes they arent
that good of a deal once you get the guitar
in hand.
i promised i wouldnt do it again this yr, just
dont have the time for it. dangitt ive already
bought two. this is the yr of the amp actually.
im only after 3 or 4 but they are sweet amps.
plus im after a les paul custom this yr too.

Hmm I've got too many now. The last one I bought last summer on a closeout. A St Blues T style guitar HSS for $350. Surprisingly great playing guitar. Components made in Korea and assembled over here in US. Looking for a Musicman Luke. Still love my Strats just expanding my pallette.

I bought my last guitar last week. It is a 2003 Clssic 50's Tele:

The last guitar I got before that was in September 2010, which was the Joe Strummer Tele in the photo below. I didn't buy the JS though. It was a gift.
