Hi guys, I just inherited a princeton 65 dsp amp...and I noticed that whenever I paly in clean..theres a faint overdrive-distortiony sound that follows in the background...is there some circuit part loose or need resoldering? I sort of popped the fuse a few days ago since I its US voltage ratings and I plugged it in using the wrong tranformer here in CHina...do you think this could have cause the faint dirty channel seepage?...Ive plugged it in the PWR IN..and its nice and clean..and when I turn all the knobs down to 0..you could still hear a faint twang of the guitar...the amp is around 2002 era so..do you think its just age?thanks guys!

plugging it in the wrong voltage might have damaged the preamp section before the fuse blew, unlikley though if the right fuse was installed, is the problem all the time or is it intermittent? if its something loose on the board then it would be a intermittent problem... if you turn the reverb off does it still give that sound?

+1...Reverb/Vibrato on certain amps can cause some interesting problems. Try turning it all the way off (reverb) and check for the problem again.

I've heard channel bleed through on a lot of channel switching amps. On one of my JCM800s you can fine tune the hi-gain sound with the slightly-less-hi-gain channel's controls.
Quite a common problem that a lot of people don't notice or has been improved with more modern amplification.
Other than that, all I know to do is adjust to get round the problem. Lower all the controls on the gain side and see if the problem persists. If it does, it's not the answer. If the problem goes then you will notice a point on the gain control where it starts to cross over into the clean channel.

Ahhh yes guys, last night I noticed that channel bleed from this amp only happens when the dirty channels gain is set to 10..yeah probably its just some age problem...and not a problem that might have occurred during the fuse blow out... I think I better just plug in,and keep playing than keep talking! rock on guys!!thanks
