so this is a spinoff of miami mike's thread, but what are your favorite acoustic albums, not necessarily MTV unplugged, but acoustic albums. my top five

1. Jackson Browne Solo Acoustic vol. 1
2. Bryan Adams - Bare Bones
3. Izzy Stradlin - Fire
4. Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska
5. R.E.M. - MTV Unplugged (1991) [Stipe's vocals are actually better on this live album than the actual studio albums]

Muddy Waters- Folk Singer. Muddy and Buddy Guy ripping it to shreds on acoustics and big Willie Dixon on a standup bass. This is a must have and one of the most overlooked blues albums ever.

Mana' Unplugged
Buddy Guy and Junior Wells- Alone and Acoustic
Clapton Unplugged
Eliades Ochoa- Sublime Illusion

Shawn Phillips-Second Contribution has to be one of the absolute best acoustic albums ever made.Besides being a masterpiece album one of the songs has the distinction of having the longest song title in history....here goes:She was Waitin' For Her Mother At The Station In Torino And You Know I Love You Baby But It's Getting Too Heavy To Laugh. That song along with the beautiful Ballad of Casey Diess is well worth the price of the album and is a must for any folk/acoustic lover.
Bruce Cockburn's first album simply titled Bruce Cockburn is also a landmark acoustic album as are all the early Donovan albums...no scratch that..all Donovan albums period.Donovan is one of the best acoustic folk guitar players in the world. He followed in the footsteps of Bert Jansch and even taught Lennon/Harrison/McCartney how to fingerpick.Check out Donovan's Tangerine Puppet,Ramblin' Boy and Cuttin' Out on his What's Bin Did And What's Bin Hid album to hear some of his simplistic but great fingerpicking.
