No he is not a blues player ......I was not saying that at all . Ok rock licks with a bit of blues. Most rock comes from the blues in one way or another. 2cents

Joe Banomassa is blues but it is very far from muddy and howlingwolf. Now you listen to muddy and john lee hooker and tell me who sounds more like them Joe or Jack . Joe is doing more a evolution and polished (especially lately almost too polished).....Jack is more raw a de-evolution ......sounding like John Lee. I would think that in some ways Jack sees himself as a blues man. If not he shore did steal the look for the movie

Some of you may not agree but that's cool but thats my 2cents

Joe Bonamassa's blues definitely sounds more like electric Muddy and Hooker to me than Jack White does. Jack white sounds like a grunge era reject who turned emo with distortion. Give me too polished Bonamassa over a sloppy overly distorted screeching Jack White any day. 2cents

I was actually impressed by Jack White--I knew the least about him, and the most about Jimmy page--so his stuff wasn't as interesting to me, as I'd heard or read most of it before.

All in all though--it was cool, and worth the time to watch it.
