Like my Grandma used to say....its colder than the dickens out there. Not sure exactly what that means except that it is darned cold. Seems that we have some of that Cunuck air floating in.... thanks to all from The Great White North.

I am staying warm with a hot cup of coffee and some Charlie Musselwhite on the player. Heading down to Capitol Guitars today to look at a Pro Reverb Silverface (anyone know much about these??).....other than that I am trying to stay warm until this cold spell breaks...

I hope you all are well and make sure to keep those fretboards smokin'....

Beaubs

Good morrow, Beaubs! Have a great day and play some hot riffs through that silverface!

:)

BTW: "Dickens" probably refers to Charles Dickens; in who's work cold and the winter play significant roles. But I may be wrong... Anyway: Stay warm!

Although y'all would laugh at what we call cold here in the Southland,"it's colder than a well digger's $@!". :)
Beaubs...I have a BF Pro Reverb it's a killer amp,if that SF is an early one like late '60s and hasn't been hacked,it should be a tone machine.

Yo Beaubs! Happy weekend!
Freakin colder than a witches you-know-what!
Same air you have is movin into New England today and next couple of days. Temps not expected to be higher than the teens! 3 snowstorms within a week too. Enough!! Bring on mowing the lawn! I swear I won't complain about the sweat running down my face..

Listening to Brad Paisley's "Play" CD. Mostly instrumental...couple of duets.
The boy can play that Telecaster!! :D

Good luck with the amp!

Good afternoon Fender forum people, from a grey but not too cold Manchester UK.
Played the blues earlier. Picked out a few good notes...notes I never heard before...kinda surprised me! I'm drinking coffee now watching soccer on the tv.
Hope everyone is well in Fender world and y'all keep them fretboards singin' and find them good notes. They really are there, I was that man!!

Have a good one y'all. :D

Snow on the ground and more coming. Last weeks trip to the supermarket looked like we were stocking a fall-out shelter(remember those?)we may be cold, but we're not hungry.
Trying to find a more "Duane Eddy" like setting in my G-Dec 30, almost there, but nothing another cup of coffee and some button pushing won't cure.

Stay warm,
John.E

Good morning all.

It's a little chilly up here in Central Vermont - and it's going to get a lot colder this evening. But, hey, it's winter - the cold time.

2nd cup of coffee is very good - just in time for me to take the last dog for her walk - she's not really liking the snow covered ground. We might have to get her some booties, she's always hopping along on 3 feet by the time she's done

Got to go, will be back soon.

Thanks for sending this info along Mike.

Went down to check out the Pro Reverb amp. There was a gentleman that wandered over and we started discussing the amp in detail - seems that he owns a 1970 Pro Reverb...he was able to ascertain through the numbers on the transformers that this model was a 1976. He pointed out that it had a Master volume (which it did) and that this was not overly desireable and created extra and unnecessary circuitry. Also, there was an issue with the reverb circuit. The price was set at $899. I asked if he thought that the price was a bit high and he said yes. He stated that the price should be in the $650 to $750 range. Bottom line, although the amp sounded nice there seemed to be too many issues with it and I decided to pass.....I did however learn some things and as ususal I had a lot of fun. :D We will see what turns up in the future.....
