Enough of the BS, here`s the skinny....
1997 Orville Les Paul Special P90
Thicker neck than either of my other Orville LP`s...both have slim 60`s style neck.
9.0 Lbs

I haven't had a good chance to test yet though, but that will come this weekend...











Typical Orville wiring.....baffles me why they`d put together such a nice guitar and cheap out on the electronics, although the pickups did sound pretty nice this evening through Guitslinger`s Marshall.

Thanks guys, I will be playing the livin' life outta this one. I will be doing some electronics upgrades in the coming weeks which should make a big difference to an already good sounding guitar.

It plays very nice, although I have to get used to the chunkier neck. It's got some mojo that's for sure. I put a set of 10's on it last night and it was even nicer.

I concur that little gem sounds fabulous,the P-90s sound every bit as good as the original Gibson jobbies.This must be the 5th or 6th Blinkers has gotten from Japan for a very,very reasonable price.The neck is pretty substantial but is still very comfortable even in my smallish mitts.

I've been waiting on Guitslinger's assessment of this guitar As usual he is right on the money, that's why he usually plays my imported guitars before I do, then again I bring them straight to him for an opinion before I even take them home.

Personally I consider the electronics in the Orville's(excluding Orville by Gibson's) to be, at best, middle of the road, but Guitslinger seems to bring the best tones out of any guitar I've seen him play. Which leads us back to the age old arguement of where tone comes from....obviously the player!!!

I took it for a good spin around the block this evening through my Marshall Haze and was quite suprised by what I heard...no future mods needed, but then again I have a set of Orange caps that need a home

Oh yeah, and the price including shipping was killer!!!!
