I aquired 2 Fender PA speakers a few years ago from a neighbour who was moving house and didn't want them anymore. Now it's getting close to the time for me to move house and I'm considering selling/passing them on to someone. I was wondering if there was anyone on here who'd be able to tell me what it actually is that I have on my hands and what they may possibly be worth.

Here are a couple of pictures, hopefully they'll help.

The Serial Number on the 2nd photo reads 2289

These are the speaker columns from Fender's very first PA system, first marketed in late 1967. The head was a four channel affair with 105 watts output and a master effects loop for an optional outboard reverb tank or echo unit. Each of the four channels had independent volume, treble, bass, and switchable effects loops controls. The speaker systems (two provided) each held four 10-inch 32-ohm alnico CTS speakers wired in parallel for a total impedance of 8 ohms per column. For their time they sounded quite good but have long since been eclipsed by more practical multi-driver arrays with LF/HF crossover networks. I owned one of these Fender PA's "back in the day".

Sorry man...I don't know what those would be worth, but a google search including the model no. should be a good place to start. hth. Probably collectors are going to be the main group interested in those as current PA speakers, and speakers in general, have come a LONG way since the 60's.
If I had 'em, I'd rewire the output jacks and use them as home theater speakers  Televised concerts would be whole new experience with those bad boys.
